The idea for Urbal tea was born out of curiosity and open-mindedness on a spring morning in 2011. That day I awoke with a sore throat and heavy chest. My first thought was to run out to the store to pick up some cough syrup and drops - instead I grabbed my laptop and decided to explore other natural remedies. Several hours into my research I had become captivated by all the information that existed about natural methods of healing. Eager to try out one of these natural remedies, I headed to my local health store and brought home the herbs recommended to ease my ailment. That day marked the start of my journey towards Urbal Tea.

 

Since that day 10 years ago, my goal has been to promote the healing powers of tea and to educate others interested in experiencing this ancient form of healing. There is no end to the wonders of herbs, Mother Nature, and the powers they possess.

 

Traditional herbalism is an intimate relationships between human, plant, and planet. One of the most valuable things I have learned is to question conventional reality and beliefs. Scientific tradition is the norm in Western society, but other methods like holistic healing have a much longer history of practice. Holistic tradition focuses on the individual and nourishing of the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. It is my belief, and the belief of those that came before me, that the body was designed to heal itself through the gifts of Mother Nature, and that we should embrace the healing powers she can provide us.

 

My parents taught me at a young age to respect nature and all living things, and being outside amongst the glory of Mother Earth gave me a newfound outlook on the cycle of life and our connection to it. These –and many more life experiences like it– directly impacted my desire to learn about what nature provides to us to heal, refresh, and preserve the vitality of our body and mind.

 

This passion and understanding is the foundation of all our herbal blends. Our teas are specially formulated with positive energy and loving thought, and all herbs within our curated tea blends are of the highest quality, picked with care and respect for the plant, then freshly dried to preserve their effectiveness and flavor.
